MY COLLEGE LIFE AT VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY TOLOSA

College life is known as one of the most memorable years of a student's life. It is entirely different from high school. College exposes us to new experiences and things that we were not familiar with before.

Studying in one of the most prestigious universities in the Philippines is a previlege that I am proud of. I was overjoyed that I was able to pass the university's admission test and study there. Knowing that thousands of students applied makes prouder of myself. I am honored to be part of a globally competitive university of Visayas State University Tolosa. 

If I would to describe my journey so far as a college student, they would be challenging and fun.

Challenging. To be honest, it was difficult to adjust during my first few weeks as a college student. I had no idea about everything because it was a completely different environment than my previous school. As a student who is only average and lack of confidence, taking up a course in Bachelor of Elementary Education is really a challenging one. I had to complete all my schoolworks and projects that I became sleepless at times. Even though the university provides free education, sometimes I also face financial difficulties such as my everyday fare, food expenses, and other school-related expenses. There was a time in my life when I just wanted to give up on my studies because they were too difficult for me to handle. But I guess, that is only part of being a student. We need to face those challenges in order for us to be strong and brave enough to face reality and achieve our goals in life.

Fun. College is indeed one of the most memorable part of being a student. Despite the fact that I am only in my second year as a college student, I already have many unforgettable experiences. I am so fortunate to have met such wonderful people on my journey through this difficult college life. I will always treasure our unexpected bond and friendship. Without them, I would not be able to survive and enjoy the college life that I am enjoying right now. Aside from these, I had experienced many things that I had never experienced before in a school, such as participating in a badminton tournament during intramurals, where I finished second, and attending a night party in school. 

College life is no doubt one of the best times of one's life. Time will come that we will be silently smiling with wet eyes, looking at the pictures from our college and old friends, and remembering all the good times we had in our college days.
